Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Rockwall is hiring a Salon Host/Specialist!!! No cosmetology license required! This salon is one of the top 3 Google rated salons in the country and is looking for individuals who can contribute to the salon's success.
The Salon Specialist/Host position is for someone who can be part of our team as a SALON HOST/SPECIALIST to keep the store operating smoothly and provide outstanding and warm customer service. Our Salon Specialist should have a natural smile and upbeat attitude with a commitment to provide an unforgettably welcoming greeting and friendly experience for each of child and parent.
This would be an excellent position for someone looking for afternoon and/or weekend hours or an adult looking for some part-time funds. This is less about working at a salon than it is creating a warm feeling for all who enter the place of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every guest and child with a warm, enthusiastic welcome as they arrive.
- Engage with children and parents throughout their visit, creating a friendly and positive experience.
- Assist families through the Point of Sale system to manage appointments, and check customers in and out and collect payment.
- Support stylists throughout the shift with preparing cutting stations for customer, processing laundry and keeping flow of salon seamless.
- Serve as the face of Sharkey’s by maintaining a cheerful, outgoing attitude and polished appearance at all times.
- Ensure the salon feels inviting, clean, & full of great energy.
- Coordinate closing and cleaning duties both between customers plus at end of shift.
Experience
- Outgoing, smiley, & friendly personality.
- Excellent communication & people skills.
- Confident interacting with children & parents.
